Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has suffered a shoulder injury. During the Eagles’ first loss of the 2022-2023 NFL season, Goedert left the field after getting his facemask grabbed and losing a fumble. The injury is not expected to end his season.
The NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Goedert was drafted the year after the Eagles won their first-ever Super Bowl over the New England Patriots. He was taken in the second round out of South Dakota State, immediately being paired with Zach Ertz in the tight end room.
He has played in nine games in 2022, catching 43 passes on 53 targets for 544 yards and three touchdowns. Goedert was on pace to have the best season of his career, which was in 2021 when he racked up 804 yards and four touchdowns.
