Who is Professor Sada?
Professor Sada is the Pokemon Professor in Pokemon Scarlet. She is famous for her research on the terastal phenomenon in the Paldea region. She is also the Professor that helped create the tera orb that allows players to use it in battle. Professor Sada is a very different professor from previous researchers and is a very complex character whose actions are responsible for the main events of the end game.
Inspired by the Scarlet books’ tales, Sada was inspired to lead her own research expedition in Area Zero. Fascinated by the prehistoric era, Sada went to work on developing a time machine so that prehistoric Pokemon could be trained to eventually co-exist with their modern-day descendants. This led her to use the special properties of the tera crystals to create a robotic duplicate of herself to serve as a research assistant when her previous one walked out on her.
Koraidon was the first ancient Pokemon she successfully brought over with her time machine, which she optimistically thought could live in harmony with her and her son, Arven. Eventually, she brought over a second Koraidon which proved more aggressive than the first. Sada died protecting the first Koraidon after it lost in a territorial struggle. Sada was absent for almost all of Arven’s life due to her premature demise. This also left her AI duplicate in charge of making sure the ancient Pokemon couldn’t leave Area Zero to destroy Paldea’s ecosystem.

Conclusion
Pokemon Scarlet’s Professor Sada is one of the most unique battles in the game. This is the first time the professor has been the main antagonist of the game, been killed by a Pokemon, and is seemingly closer to a mad scientist than a mentor figure. It is truly one of the best-explored conflicts in Pokemon to date. While her team of dinosaurs the stakes of her ultimate goals seem scary, this fight will not be hard if players come prepared. Level up to the 60s as a minimum and come prepared to counter all of these Pokemon’s weaknesses. Truly, this is one of the best fights in all of Pokemon.
