Pokemon UNITE Tier List: September 2021 Edition

Hi Trainers, today is a special day. Today’s article covers a Pokemon UNITE tier list compiled by some of the most high-ranking players at the Game Haus. The tier list ranks Pokemon from the letters S-D. Near the end, it will highlight two ideal picks and two picks to stay away from in higher ranks of play.

The final note to mention is that the tier list places these picks based on their performance with their ideal moves and fully upgraded items. If their items are not upgraded to at least level 20, they will not perform as well as the player hopes. Now then, on to the tier list.

Two Picks Any Player Should Try

Two picks every Pokemon UNITE player should consider playing are Greninja and Alolan Ninetails.

Greninja’s star ratings are shown below:

Offense: 4 stars

Endurance: 2 stars

Mobility: 3 stars

Scoring: 3 stars

Support: 1/2 a star

Greninja’s offensive capabilities are up there with fellow attack users such as Alolan Ninetales and Pikachu. Its mobility is also one of the highest of its tier. Giving him a fully upgraded buddy barrier, float stone, and muscle band grants it absurd damage output in the mid to late game phase. Despite it being meant for Top or Bot lane, players can also take Froakie to the jungle as it is weak at the beginning of the game. A complete clear of the jungle can provide Froakie easy levels and exp at a fast rate.

Alolan Ninetales’ star ratings are shown below:

Endurance: 1 1/2 stars

Mobility: 1 1/2 stars

Scoring: 2 1/2 stars

While at the same level of offense as Greninja, Ninetales has less endurance, mobility, and scoring potential. It, however, has more supporting potential. This time, the items that make this Pokemon broken are buddy barrier, shell bell, and focus band. Pairing these items with Aurora Veil will allow Ninetales to survive most skirmishes and aid the team in keeping their health up. This also helps allies in Drednaw fights, which is one of the most important objectives in the game.

In addition, dazzling gleam can help stun enemies at a wide range, making this Pokemon incredibly valuable on a team.

2 Picks Players Should Avoid

For the first of these 2 picks, we have Garchomp. The famous land shark’s ratings are posted below:

Offense: 3 1/2 stars

Endurance: 3 1/2 stars

Mobility: 2 1/2 stars

Scoring: 2 1/2 stars

Support: 1/2 stars

While Garchomp’s stats are good for a fully evolved All-Rounder, it is horrendously weak at the beginning of the game. Garchomp can almost do nothing as Gible and if not careful in the higher ranks of play, players will find themselves being punished for not being fully evolved. While this might not be the case in lower ranks of play, Garchomp may not be the most ideal for the higher ranks.

The next pick players should consider avoiding is Blissey. This article lists its star ratings below:

Offense: 1 star

Endurance: 3 1/2 stars

Mobility: 1 1/2 stars

Scoring: 2 1/2 stars

Support: 4 1/2 stars

While Blissey is great at bolstering its allies, it is useless on its own. Unless players have teammates that they can trust to optimize opportunities to do damage with their support, they are better off playing a Pokemon that can carry itself AND its team. More often than not, when playing alone, players will be disappointed by their team’s performance. So rather than going through the grief and relying solely on random players, simply play a more reliable Pokemon.
