The first move shown off in the spotlight shows Drargonite utilizing melee attacks to claw away and slam the enemy. This is a bit confounding, since Pokemon Unite Dragonite is labeled as a “ranged” all-rounder. Therefore, begging the question, what exactly makes Dragonite Ranged? The other move shown is ranged, but from the looks of the first skill, Dragonite utilizes melee basic attack.
Dragonite utilizes Dragon Breath as its second move, which serves as its main ranged attack. The attack shoots out after a short charge duration, extending a significant distance. Dragon Breath requires precision aiming. From the short snip bit shown in the video, it is difficult to understand exactly what the move does.
In Conclusion
It’s still very strange that pokemon unite Dragonite revealed as a ranged all-rounder. Considering the pokemon seems to be attacking with claws in the video from very much a melee range, there is surely more than what meets the eye in regards to Dragonite. Perhaps the pokemon’s previous evolutions utilize ranged, while the final form switches into melee? Or maybe Dragonite’s first move changes its basic attacks into melee, and it utilizes ranged attacks otherwise?
Whatever the case, players will need to stay tuned for more details.
