The PGA Tour returns to Silvis, Illinois for the 2023 John Deere Classic. TPC Deere Run will host this event and features a 7,268-yard par-71 track. Last year, the tournament was won by J.T. Poston after he posted a 21-under 263.
This installment of the John Deere Classic will have players competing for a share of a $7.4 million purse.
Defending champion J.T. Poston is coming off of a rough stretch. The 30-year-old has missed the cut in three of his last four competitions. Poston’s best finish this season came in January at The American Express where he shot a 23-under 265 and finished tied for sixth place.
After a busy stretch on the Tour, many of the world’s top players have opted to sit this event out. This year’s field will include defending champion J.T. Poston, U.S. Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson and RBC Candian Open winner Nick Taylor.
