After what has been a crazy last few months, Overwatch Season 21 will be coming to an end on May 7. This means that while in quarantine, one should be grinding as much as possible over the next few weeks to get as high on the ranked ladder as possible. There are no major changes that have been announced as of yet.
But, during the latest season, Overwatch went through one of its biggest changes of all time. It added Hero Bans. Jeff and the Overwatch team tested out different types of bans. Between having only three bans and then only banning a certain role, they ended up just deciding to have bans mirror the Overwatch League. Every Sunday there are two DPS heroes banned along with one support and one tank. These will continue heading into Season 22.

Lastly Echo, Hero 32 was added and was confirmed to be the last hero until Overwatch 2. The release date for the second Overwatch game has not yet been revealed. Many believe that it will be later this year or very early in Q1 of 2021. The COVID-19 Pandemic has seen many different things delayed and some video games like Overwatch could see a similar fate. If this is the case then fans and players may not see a new hero for nearly nine months.
