Multiple sources have confirmed with The Game Haus that former GRUNTo Esports main tank Jang-hyeon “TiZi” Hwang will be joining the Vancouver Titans for Stage 4 of the Overwatch League 2019 Season. On July 3, it was announced that TiZi would be leaving GRUNTo Esports for other opportunities.
Today we say goodbye to @Overwatch_TiZi. . Fear not, though, he's not walking away from the game. We're sure you'll be hearing more about him soon.
TiZi, thank you for the work that you put in. You are a fantastic player and teammate, and we were lucky to have you with us. pic.twitter.com/5tlDoRWGSr

TiZi will be joining his former Runaway teammates on the Titans, Chunghee “Stitch” Lee, Hyojong “Haksal” Kim, HyunWoo “JJANU” Choi and Sangbeom “Bumper” Park. TiZi last played for Runaway in 2017 before leaving the team to join the London Spitfire. He left the Spitfire part of the way through the 2018 season and bounced around various Contenders teams in the past year. TiZi played with XL2 Academy and GZ Academy before finding his way to GRUNTo to start the current Contenders season.Â
Vancouver’s latest addition comes just ahead of the July 7 roster lock date. With 2-2-2 lock on the horizon, the move will provide some flexibility and security for the Titans as they move toward the end of season playoffs.Â
