Toronto Defiant have announced that Matthew “Optidox” Sims has stepped down as assistant coach. Though not with the team long, he did assist the team during Stage 4 after losing head coach Beoumjun “Bishop” Lee. Though the team only secured one win during the Stage, they seemed much improved over their 0-7 Stage 3.
We would like to announce that Matthew "@Optidox" Sims will be moving on from his position as an Assistant Coach with the team. Thank you for your contributions over the past few months and we wish you the best in your future career! pic.twitter.com/ScUyAqUCOD

In addition, Optidox has released a Looking for Team (or LFT) TwitLonger detailing his accomplishments in competitive Overwatch. He details that he still plans on working in competitive Overwatch be it for an academy team or even still in Overwatch League. Nothing in either statement would lead anyone to conclude that there is bad blood between the two parties. Optidox has shown that he is more than capable as a coach as he has lead the Angry Titans to success as well as a positive record for the Montreal Rebellion.
