Continuing a long day of releases, the Toronto Defiant have decided to release Daniel “Gods” Graeser. Though all members of the Defiant are under team option, he is the only one so far to make an announcement. With a disappointing finish to their inaugural season, changes have to be made. With only one release so far, it’s tough to say whether the Defiant are staying with a mixed roster or moving in another direction.
Thank you Gods for your time with us during our inaugural season in #OWL2019 – Your leadership, humor and hard work meant so much to us, your teammates and your fans and we wish you nothing but the best in your future! pic.twitter.com/TtmD4i7C1Z

Gods was promoted from the Montreal Rebellion alongside Normunds “sharyk” Faterins during the mid season break. Though the team would only find a single win in the second half of the season, Gods had his moments to shine between clutch Roadhog hooks and multi-kill D.Va bombs. And even though his tenure in OWL so far has been short, Gods is a player that has been on the scene since the beginning. From competing for NRG during APAC 2016, to a World Cup appearance, to playing for Cloud9 alongside Lane “Surefour” Roberts. Gods has enough experience to even venture into the world of Overwatch coaching. With the best Twitter game in the scene, don’t count out Gods just yet.
