The Florida Mayhem have officially announced their new pink and blue themed color scheme for the upcoming OWL season that harkens back to the days of Miami Vice and celebrates what other Florida sports teams have done prior. The only difference being that the Mayhem will use these colors for their primary color scheme, where others have just used it for alternate jerseys, like the Miami Heat for example.

A New Fan Favorite?
This new scheme was announced with the hashtag #LightItUp after the Mayhem notably “went dark” just before the Mayhem Winter Classic, which was a tournament put on by the Mayhem to help pour their support into the OWL’s T2/Contenders scene, which consistently gets noted as being underfunded uncared for.
With this and the new color change, Florida posits themselves as a team more and more connected with their fanbase heading into 2020, with a roster that looks to make those fans proud. Be sure to check out the Miami homestand on March 14-15 to see these new jerseys in their home city and stay tuned here for more OWL news and updates.
