Sources familiar with the deal can confirm that former GC Busan Wave DPS, Tae-Hoon “Edison” Kim, and Team Envy’s Hugo “SharP” Sahlberg have signed with the Atlanta Reign. These were first tweeted out by @haloofthoughts on November 8 and November 9, respectively. With these moves, the Atlanta Reign have added two primarily Hitscan DPS players to their roster and look to remain a mixed-language roster.
After these two signings are officially announced, the Reign will have up to 10 players officially signed for the 2020 season including four DPS players. There is potential, however, that these DPS signings could signal more cuts, especially for a player like Andrej “babybay” Francisty who is also a primarily Hitscan DPS player.
The Atlanta Reign have also just announced the release of their other former Hitscan DPS player Ilya “NLaaeR” Koppalov, showing that the Reign have clear intent on making some changes prior to the 2020 season.
With the release of @NLaaeR today, we want to take a minute to look back on his time with the team. From his gameplay to his personality he really made this year special.
Thank you for being a part of our history, we know you will have a great career wherever that may lead. pic.twitter.com/HpnilLzjGR

With a hot end to an otherwise above-average 2019 season, the Reign will look to improve in 2020 behind the leadership of head coach, Brad “Sephy” Rajani who many consider being one of the league’s top coaches.
As more comes to light about the future of the remaining Reign roster or any of the other 19 OWL teams, The Game Haus will continue to provide updates.
