Avalla joins the Paris Eternal after spending the 2019 season as a coach for the Washington Justice. She is the first female coach to ever be signed to an Overwatch League team. She is known for her unique coaching style that primarily uses clips to understand her player’s playstyles better. The Washington Justice struggled throughout the 2019 season but came into their own towards the end of the year. The day after Grand Finals, the Washington Justice surprised fans by dropping their entire coaching staff, including Avalla.
Instead of a coaching position, Avalla joins the Paris Eternal as their Assistant GM. The Paris Eternal made many moves this offseason, including switching from an all European roster to a mixed roster that includes Element Mystic’s Ki-hyo “Xzi” Jung, Han-been “Hanbin” Choi, and their star DPS player Yeong-han “Sp9rk1e” Kim. Following his players is Element Mystic’s Hee-won “Rush” Yun, who is set to be the Eternal’s head coach going into the 2020 season. Avalla will be working alongside Rush, as well as assistant coaches Jaeyoon “Aid” Go and Chung-Hyeok “Levi” Jeong.
As a reminder, all of the current offseason changes will be continuously updated in TGH’s Complete List of Overwatch League Offseason Moves.
