Weekly Challenges
Keeping in line with events the past couple years, limited-time challenges are back. These provide weekly win goals to unlock exclusive skins, sprays and player icons. Here are the awards for each week:
- Week 1: Union Jack Tracer, Union Jack Spray, Baseballmari Player Icon
- Week 2: Sand Castle Bastion, Sand Castle Spray, Golfimari Player Icon
- Week 3: Ice Cream Orisa, Ice Cream Spray, Surfimari Player Icon
New Legendary Skins
With the three new epic skins available for free with each weekly challenge, Blizzard have added five new legendary event skins. They can be seen in their entirety in this gallery, and are available through loot boxes and are purchasable with in-game credits. As is standard, the new legendary skins cost 3000 credits. Don’t forget about discounted legendary skins from previous years at just 1000 each!
Lucioball Updates
Lucioball has returned in the arcade along with Season 4 of Copa Lucioball. To keep things fresh, the maps of Sydney Harbor and Busan Stadium have been revamped with new obstacles like pillars and walls to navigate and wall-ride around. Additionally, the jump-pads have been moved around to better accommodate these changes.
This event brings about a new Lucioball game mode: Lucioball Remix. Per the official announcement on the Overwatch website:
“We’re kicking a curveball your way with Lúcioball Remix! In this faster, more chaotic version of Lúcioball, two balls are in play the entire time and bonus balls worth extra points will periodically spawn around the arena. Be quick on your feet and net more goals than your opponents to win!”
In combination with the new arena layouts, this will provide a good break for those who may feel the traditional Lucioball has gotten a bit stale.
Make sure to download the latest update and get out there to play these new modes and get these exclusive cosmetics. And while you’re at it, let us know what your favorite part of this year’s winter event is in the comments or on social media, we’d love to hear from you!
