On Tuesday December 22, the New York Excelsior finally announced their DPS lineup for the 2021 season. Joining the Excelsior are four new damage dealers – Seung-woo “FEATH5R” Lee, Gwan-wong “Gwangboong” Kim, Young-woo “Flora” Lim, and Seung-hyun “Ivy” Lee. New York will be taking a new approach this season, heading into 2021 with more rookies than veterans on the DPS line.

The new New York damage players come from varying different teams. FEATH5R joins New York after finding success with Talon in both Pacific Contenders and Korean Contenders. Gwangboong was the standout hit-scan player from Team Cat and in Chinese Contenders. Flora most recently played with Team Diamond, however has played in multiple seasons in Korean Contenders with Meta Athena and WGS.

The key to this young roster will be OWL veteran Ivy. While he didn’t find too much success in Toronto, Ivy really shined in 2020 with the Philadelphia Fusion. Ivy is the sole vet in this DPS, and will be the guide to help NYXL reach the next level. With this announcement, the New York Excelsior have fully revealed their 2021 roster. Though they could add more members, it is likely this is the group New York will play with for the season.
