The Florida Mayhem are the first team to make a move now that OWL free agency has begun, releasing several players and an Assistant Coach. The following members are all being released, effective immediately.
- Jae-ho “RaiN” Park (Support)
- Yong-joon “DPI” Choi (DPS)
- Jae-mo “xepheR” Koo (Tank)
- Hyeon-woo “HaGoPeun” Jo (Support)
- Seong-won “Swon” Yoon (Tank)
- Kim “KH1” Hyung-Il (Assistant Coach)
This comes after the Mayhem made changes at the management level, releasing Scott “BEARHANDS” Tester and promoting Assistant General Manager Albert “yeHHH” Yeh to General Manager for the 2020 Overwatch League season. With these changes today, the Mayhem are left with a roster of just six players heading into the 2020 season.
This is a welcomed move for the Mayhem and one that shows that a change of the guard is truly happening in Florida going into 2020. If the Mayhem can make a few more moves and build behind the core of players they have left themselves with, fans should expect a larger number in the win column for Florida this upcoming season.
Today we’d like to wish a fond farewell to @HAGOPEUN_OW, @RaiN990707, @xepher123, @Creature_OW, @Swon_ow, and @KH1_OW
Thank you all for your efforts this season. You will always be a part of the Mayhem family, and we wish you nothing but the best.
