The Florida Mayhem are officially releasing their Assistant General Manager Scott “BEARHANDS” Tester and promoting Assistant General Manager Albert “yeHHH” Yeh to General Manager for the 2020 Overwatch League season.

John Kracum, President of the Florida Mayhem, commented on the impact BEARHANDS had on the Mayhem organization and his optimism for the future.

“We’re very grateful for Scott’s work this past year… We made substantial changes before and during the season, and his contribution was key to our improvement by the end of the year. Scott is leaving a meaningful mark on this franchise and we look forward to Albert leading our competitive vision heading into Season 3.”

As was noted, this move not only has one of the Mayhem’s current Assistant GM’s being released, but sees another being promoted to GM. YeHHH had the following to say concerning his new role with the Mayhem in 2020.

“Throughout my Overwatch career I’ve filled a plethora of roles, ranging from professional player to management… I’m confident in my ability to take over the helm for the 2020 season. Despite a disappointing start to Season 2, with our strong Stage 4 we have a strong foundation for next season and my priority will be to continue to build upon that. We’ll have a world-class facility in Florida next season and my goal is to fill it with a world-class roster and support staff. I’m extremely excited for 2020, and I hope our fans are too!”

The Florida Mayhem did have an overall disappointing season in 2019, finishing last in the standings with a 6-22 record. However, yeHHH is right to say this team had a strong Stage 4. The Mayhem netted four of their six wins in the final stage of the season, after picking up three new players and three new coaches from Armament (KR Contenders) in June.

With these new changes at the management level, the Mayhem look to lay a new foundation behind their strong new players and coaches for the 2020 season, where they will have two Homestand events – one at the Watsco Center in Miami on March 14-15, and another in Orlando at Full Sail University on May 16-17.

These and all other offseason changes will be continuously updated in The Game Haus’s Complete List of Overwatch League Offseason Moves.
