The Boston Uprising are incredibly close to turning this season around. The win against the Gladiators showcased Boston’s ability to, in fact, win a game. Then 2 matches and 10 maps against the Pari Eternal proved to doubters that Boston can take advantage of their opponent’s mistakes. This week, the Uprising need to find a way to put it all together as they face their toughest opponent before the Summer Showdown – the Philadelphia Fusion.
Philadelphia Fusion (14-1)
If there is one constant throughout this tumultuous season, it is that the Philadelphia Fusion are really, really, good. Each and every aspect of the Fusion are extraordinarily strong. Philadelphia looks like the super team fans had pinned them to be.

Although they fell to the Florida Mayhem in the May Melee, the Fusion are easily one of the top teams in the league. The Boston Uprising had a rough match the last time these teams met, and unfortunately there isn’t much to indicate this time will be different.
How Much Can Boston Really Do?
It’s no secret that the current Boston team has vastly improved since they last squared off against Philly. Boston’s improvements have certainly caught the attention of the league, but the question remains if they are enough to compete with the Fusion.
Frankly, there isn’t a whole lot Boston can do to shake the outcome of this match. The Fusion roster is one of the few lineups that does not falter regardless of who plays. Philadelphia’s DPS lineup is one of the most lethal and versatile in the league. To make matters worse, the Fusion back line is incredibly talented and possess carry-potential themselves.

Philadelphia’s single loss came from the Paris Eternal in an outrageous 5-map series. Lead by their incredible double hit-scan DPS, Paris utilized Tracer and Solider to run circles around the Philadelphia tank line. If Boston’s damage dealers can continue to grow as leaders on the team, Boston could maybe take a map from the heavy favorites.
Prediction: Philadelphia 3 – Boston 0
