Although it’s only been a week since their launch, Lifeweaver will be receiving some brand-new buffs along with some new controls. Here are all there Overwatch 2 Lifeweaver buffs gamers can expect to receive soon.
Lifeweaver Changes
There will be some changes coming toward how Lifeweaver is controlled. This reasoning stems from player feedback stating that Lifeweaver plays “Awkward”. This was due to weapon swapping between damage and healing and Petal Platform on alternate fire. Here is the new control scheme for Lifeweaver:
- Thorn Volley will be moved to alternate fire.
- Petal Platform will be moved to Ability slot 1.
- Rejuvenating Dash will be activated with a double jump.
- Petal Platform will be cancelable by pressing the button again.
- The passive reload will be slowed for the weapon that Lifeweaver isn’t currently using.
If players don’t like the new control scheme for Lifeweaver the changes can be reverted within the settings menu
Not only will his control scheme be different Lifeweavers abilities will be receiving adjustments as well:
- The slow effect on Lifeweaver’s healing will now only be applied a short time after it’s charged. Originally this was supposed to discourage players from permanently holding a healing charge, but the current implementation was “too strict”.
- Tree of Life will receive a health buff and do more healing per pulse.
- Parting Gift will be removed.
The buffs and Lifeweaver’s control rework will be arriving on April 25. More information about the buffs and changes will be coming on April 21 in a blog and Q&A livestream from Overwatch 2 Game Director Aaron Keller.
