Wilson suffered the injury during the Jets’ loss to the Patriots in week 7. He was forced to exit the game and the Jets went on to lose 54-13.
With Wilson out, Mike White took over at quarterback. He passed for 202 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in relief of Wilson. White was a former fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Western Kentucky.
White is expected to start in place of Wilson until the rookie is ready to return. They will likely need to bring other quarterbacks in, as they only carried two on the active roster.
