Barrett, 27, spent the first five seasons of his career in Denver, but had a career-year with Tampa Bay last season. He totaled 19.5 sacks, which was 14 more than his previous career-best. In his career, he has 33.5 sacks and 44 tackles for loss. After signing a one-year deal with the Bucs, Barrett will cash in with the franchise tag.
With the Bucs using the franchise tag on Barrett, they will keep the defense together that performed well last year. This also means that quarterback Jameis Winston will hit free agency today.
