Cornerback Stephon Gilmore has signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Gilmore’s new deal is reportedly worth $23 million over two years. He was signed as a free agent after being cut by the Carolina Panthers after the 2021 season
The NFL’s official Twitter account reported the news via Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero on Friday morning.

Gilmore began his career as the tenth overall selection of the 2012 NFL Draft, when he was selected by the Buffalo Bills. He played with Buffalo until 2016, then signed a five-year deal with the Patriots in 2017. He won Super Bowl LIII with the Pats, and won the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019.
He would go on to play with the Panthers for just one season in 2021. Gilmore played in just eight games, starting three. 2021 was a down year for the five-time Pro Bowler, as he grabbed just 16 tackles and one interception.
