Omenihu, 24, was a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He has spent his entire three-year career with the Texans, where he has logged six career sacks. In 2021, he has no sacks in six games played.
The 49ers are averaging 2.3 sacks per game this season and hope the addition of Omenihu can help their production. Omenihu will join Samson Ebukam and Nick Bosa on a defensive line that is now improved.
