Rams tight end Tyler Higbee suffered a knee injury in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers. He caught two passes for 18 yards before being leaving the game with a knee injury, not to return. He is officially questionable for the Super Bowl, despite encouraging early reports.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
#Rams TE Tyler Higbee, ruled out yesterday with a knee injury, appears to have avoided any significant damage, source said. However, his availability for the Super Bowl will be up in the air and decided over the next two weeks.

Higbee was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Western Kentucky. He played 15 of the Rams’ 17 games, including all three of Los Angeles’ playoff games. In the regular season, he racked up 61 receptions, 560 yards and five touchdowns.
The Rams (and Higbee) are in the Super Bowl for the second time under head coach Sean McVay. In their previous trip, they were subjected to a Bill Belichick defense that eventually got the better of McVay’s high-flying offense. In Super Bowl LVI, they will take on the upstart Cincinnati Bengals on their home turf, SoFi Stadium.
