The Los Angeles Rams are moving quickly to fill out their coaching staff after some turnover following their Super Bowl run. One of their hires includes former Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who will fill the same role with the Rams in 2022.
MMQB’s Albert Breer reported the news via Twitter.

Along with Coen, former quarterbacks coach Greg Olson will return to the Rams for the first time since 2017. The team’s former running backs coach, Thomas Brown will be given “more responsibility” on the team, although it is unclear at this time what that new responsibility will entail.
The Rams had their former offensive coordinator, Kevin O’Connell, poached by the Minnesota Vikings. He is now the Vikings’ head coach. Coen spent time with the Rams from 2018-2020, serving as an assistant wide receivers coach and an assistant quarterbacks coach. He left for the University of Kentucky in 2021 before returning to Los Angeles just one season later to be the offensive coordinator. He will likely not call plays, due to Sean McVay usually taking those duties.
