The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a new deal with defensive lineman Montravius Adams. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Adams has received a two-year, $5 million contract.

Adams, 26, is a former third-round pick who has played for the Packers, Patriots, Saints and Steelers. He has 59 total tackles, six tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in his career. After joining the Steelers midway through the season, Adams played five games, tallying eight tackles and one tackle for loss.
The Steelers will use Adams as a depth piece on their defensive line. With Cam Heyward, Stephon Tuitt and Tyson Alualu expected to return, Adams can be on the defensive line rotation behind them.
