NFL week 13 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 13 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from tallysight.com as of Wednesday morning)
Last week: 7-9, Overall: 88-88-1 (will be updated after the Baltimore-Pittsburgh game.
Sunday Afternoon
New Orleans Saints (-3) at Atlanta Falcons
The Saints proved just a few weeks ago that they could beat the Falcons easily, even with Taysom Hill at quarterback.
Pick: Saints
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins (-11.5)
Cincinnati has had locker room issues and is starting Brandon Allen at quarterback. The Dolphins are in the playoff race and need to win, but this is a pretty large spread.
Pick: Bengals
Jacksonville Jaguars at Minnesota Vikings (-9.5)
The Jaguars are not a good team, but a 9.5-point spread is a lot, especially with Jacksonville keeping things close over the last few weeks with solid teams.
Pick: Jags
Las Vegas Raiders (-8) at New York Jets
Las Vegas had an awful day against the Falcons, but they should be able to bounce back and cover against the Jets.
Pick: Raiders
Indianapolis Colts (-3) at Houston Texans
The Texans have played a lot better since firing Bill O’Brien, but now they will be without Will Fuller. Indianapolis will want this game more, as they continue to fight for a playoff spot.
Pick: Colts
Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans (-5.5)
Now that the weather has gotten colder, Derrick Henry is starting to wreck opposing defenses again. The Browns have not been playing well, even though they are winning. Henry will make it tough for the Browns to keep it within a touchdown.
Pick: Titans
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (-3)
The Bears’ defense may win this game, but the Lions might keep this close. After the Texans fired their coach they started playing better and it may happen the same way in Detroit.
Pick: Lions
Sunday Evening
Los Angeles Rams (-3) at Arizona Cardinals
Both of these teams are hard to figure out. They drop games they shouldn’t, but they also have picked up big wins. Because of that situation, the smart play is to take the points.
Pick: Arizona Cardinals
New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks (-10)
The Giants are still fighting for a playoff spot, but Seattle’s offense is firing on all cylinders with D.K Metcalf emerging into a star this season. They’ll cover at home.
Pick: Seahawks
New England Patriots at Los Angeles Chargers
This game is a pick’em, but that doesn’t make much sense. The Chargers have a future star in Herbert, but their three wins this season are against three of the worst teams in the league. Don’t sleep on Bill Belichick making a playoff push.
Pick: Patriots
Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers (-9.5)
Carson Wentz is still taking sacks and throwing too many interceptions. Aaron Rodgers will make sure the Packers win and it should be by at least two touchdowns.
Pick: Packers
Sunday Night
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-14)
Denver started Kendall Hinton at quarterback on Sunday. Even if some players are able to come back and take over at the position, the Chiefs will cover.
Pick: Chiefs
Monday Night
Washington Football Team at Pittsburgh Steelers (-10)
The Steelers will be playing on short rest, but their defense will almost ensure that they will be able to cover a 10-point spread against Pittsburgh.
Pick: Steelers
Buffalo Bills (-3) at San Francisco 49ersÂ
San Francisco is still playing tough despite having all of their injuries, but the Bills are too solid of a team to lose this one on the road.
Pick: Bills
Tuesday Night
Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens (-7.5)
The Ravens may still have players out with COVID. For now, the pick is the Ravens, but this will be updated before the game.
Pick: Ravens
