The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. The bowl season schedule allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2020 Outback Bowl.
Minnesota Golden Gophers Draft Prospects
Tyler Johnson, WR
Johnson has developed into a great receiver for Minnesota in his four years on campus. The senior has 201 receptions for 3,101 yards and 31 touchdowns in his career. This season, Johnson has 74 receptions for 1,114 yards and 11 touchdowns.
At 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, Johnson is an average-sized receiver. In this deep wide receiver draft class, Johnson could be selected in the middle rounds.
Projected Draft Range: Third round-fifth round
Carter Coughlin, Edge
Coughlin has been one of the Big Ten’s best pass rushers over the last few seasons. As a Golden Gopher, he has 153 total tackles, 40 tackles for loss and 22.5 sacks. This year, Coughlin has 44 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.
He has decent size for an NFL pass rusher at 6-foot-4 and 245 pounds. He is a candidate to be selected in the middle rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Third round-fifth round

Auburn Tigers Draft Prospects
Derrick Brown, DT
Brown has disrupted a lot of games to benefit the Tigers in the last few seasons. At Auburn, he has 165 total tackles, 33 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. In 2019, Brown has 49 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.
He is a massive defensive tackle at 6-foot-5 and 318 pounds. Brown has been tough for a lot of offensive lines to block over the course of his career. He should be selected in the top half of the first round.
Projected Draft Range: Top 15 Pick
Marlon Davidson, Edge
Davidson is another key member of the very talented Auburn defensive line. He has tallied 171 total tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks in his career. This season, Davidson has 45 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
He is 6-foot-3 and 278 pounds, which should mean that he can move around the defensive line depending on the situation. Davidson likely won’t be selected in the first round, but could go on day two.
Projected Draft Range: Second round-fourth round
*DL Nick Coe will sit out the Outback Bowl while he prepares for the 2020 NFL Draft. He is a projected second to fourth-round pick.
