The NFL is allowing each team to wear an alternate helmet next season for the first time. The New York Jets are now the newest team to unveil their second helmet, which will be called “stealth black,” and feature an all black helmet with a green “Jets” logo on the side.
PFF’s Ari Meirov showed a picture of the new helmet on his Twitter account on Friday.

The Jets have announced that they will wear the new helmets three times next season. The first will be in Week 8 against the New England Patriots, the second in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears and the third in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. All of games are home games.
New York has rolled out black jerseys lately, so it stands to reason that they will pair their new black helmets with those uniforms. Stay tuned as more and more teams give fans a look at their alternate helmets, as TGH will be covering each release.
