It was another tough week for the Miami Dolphins, as they lost another game. This time it was against the Buffalo Bills, as the final score was 26-11. The Dolphins could not get anything going on offense for the entirety of the game. Miami shot themselves in the foot with a lot of avoidable mistakes on offense. The defense on the other hand kept the Dolphins in the game, as they held Buffalo to only three points at halftime. The Bills really started to pull away during the fourth quarter, which gave the Dolphins more than enough time to produce something on the offensive side of the ball. This article will recap the Dolphins vs the Bills Week 8 game.
Penalties on Offense thwarted a lot of drives
Penalties killed the Dolphins on offense. There were multiple times in this game where the Dolphins would be driving and a penalty would kill all the momentum. Furthermore, with a penalty comes with working behind the chains, which Miami did a lot of this past Sunday on offense. Miami had nine penalties for 58 yards, which is way too much, especially facing a Super Bowl contender such as the Buffalo Bills. The crazy thing about this is that the Bills had more penalty yardage than the Dolphins. They had nine penalties for 89 yards. The difference is the Bills were able to bounce back and put points on the board when they needed too.
The Dolphins rushing attack struggled
For most of the season, the Dolphin’s rushing attack has struggled. This has mostly been because the running backs were just not getting many opportunities. This was not the case in this game, as the Dolphins were more balanced on offense. Gaskin got 12 carries in this game. He did find some ways to find some holes in that Bills defense but he was mostly bottled up. He had 36 yards in the game. Salvon Amed did not do a lot better. He had seven carries for 22 yards.
The Dolphins did however get their only touchdown of the game while rushing the ball. No this was not one of their running backs, but it was Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, as he got into the end zone on a quarterback sneak. Â The Dolphins need to find a way to make the running aspect of their game more productive. If not, there may not be many more wins for Miami this season.
Impactful players on the Dolphins in this game
On the offensive side of the ball, DeVante Parker really stepped up. This is not a surprise as Parker has been good for the Dolphins all year. Parker has 327 receiving yards on the season and one touchdown. Parker found ways to get open and he also made some plays on his own with his insane athleticism. He was instrumental in keeping drives alive for this Miami offense. He ended the day with eight receptions for 85 yards. Mike Gesicki is another player that stood out for this Miami Offense. The Dolphins tight end finds ways to get a lot of good chunk yardage. He averaged 16 yards per reception against this Bills defense. He had three receptions for 48 yards.
The Dolphins’ defense found a way to keep them in this game but did not force any turnovers or sacks. Nik Needham led the charge in tackling in this game, as he had eight total tackles. Christian Wilkins was also impressive as he had 6 total tackles with two of those being for losses. He led the team in that category in this game.
In conclusion, this was another lackluster game for the Miami Dolphins. They should just be focusing on ways to win, as the playoffs look like a bleak possibility in their future. Luckily for them, they will be playing another struggling team as the Houston Texans visit Miami next Sunday. This concludes the Dolphins vs the Bills Week 8 recap.

This a joke? Brig is bottom tier, certainly not top.
