The Miami Dolphins will have their second game against the Buffalo Bills this coming weekend. Miami comes into this game on a six-game losing skid with their last win coming against the New England Patriots during week one. The Phins are almost two-touchdown underdogs going into this road game against the Bills. This Miami team will need all hands on deck if want a shot at beating this possible super bowl contender and will quite possibly have to play their best game all year. This article will preview the Miami Dolphins vs the Buffalo Bills week 8 game in Orchid Park this coming Sunday.
The last time the Dolphins played the Bills
Miami has already played the Bills once this year at hard rock stadium in Miami. This game ended up being a disaster for the Dolphins. They were shut out in a 35-point loss and Tua Tagovailoa was sacked two times during this game. He fractured his ribs during one of those Buffalo sacks, which put him on the shelf for a few weeks.
Jacoby Brissett ended up taking over during that game and did not fare much better against this Buffalo team. He had 169 passing yards and an interception. Miami could not get the rushing attack going in that game either as the Dolphins had 71 total rushing yards throughout the game. There is no way this team can play worse than this game in week 2, which means they can only play better during this upcoming matchup against the Bills.
Tua Tagovailoa needs to be more consistent this gameÂ
Tua had his ups and downs during the Falcons game last week. He would look sharp passing the ball and then he would fall apart and throw an interception or just not be able to get the Dolphins down the field. The Bills defense will probably have a similar game plan as their game in week 2, which is going to be blitzing Tua to no end. This means the Miami quarterback will have to make good decisions and not hold on to the ball for a long period time. Furthermore, if a pass is not there, he needs to throw the ball away and live another down instead of throwing a bad pass and turning the ball over. The gut feeling is that Tagovailoa will bounce back against this Bills team and put a good fight in victory or defeat.
Run the ball more this time around
This football team needs to have the same game plan as they did last week, which is giving Myles Gaskin more carries. He had 15 last week against the Falcons and the Dolphins should aim for the same or even more this week. This will take some of the pressure off Tua throwing the ball against this dangerous Bills defense. This will also set up a good balanced offensive attack, which will make it harder for Buffalo to defend. This offense will wear down that Bills defensive line, which in turn will create more holes for the Miami running backs later in the game.
Prediction Â
The Dolphins are going to win another game this year, but it will not be against this Bills team. Buffalo is just coming off a bye week and will be refreshed. They also lost their last game against Tennessee which they will be looking to bounce back from. Furthermore, Buffalo is just the better team in many categories on offense and defense. The Dolphins will make this matchup more watchable this time around, but they will still end up losing by a couple of touchdowns.
Prediction: Bills-35 Dolphins-21
This concludes this Preview of the Miami Dolphins vs the Buffalo Bills Week 8 matchup.
