The Chicago Bears are reportedly finalizing a trade for defensive end Khalil Mack. The three-time First Team-All Pro is being sent to the Los Angeles Chargers. A completed trade is pending a physical and some restructuring of Mack’s contract.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
The #Chargers trade for #Bears star Khalil Mack is in place, sources say, pending tinkering with his contract and a physical. Assuming that goes smoothly, Mack will join Joey Bosa with the #Chargers as one of the best pass-rush tandems in the NFL.

In his four years as a Bear, Mack played in 53 games, two interceptions, 14 forced fumbles, 36 sacks and 163 combined tackles. He was selected to the Pro Bowl six times in a row; every year from 2015 to 2020. That streak would have likely been extended if Mack’s season had not been limited to only seven games.
The 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year forced a trade from the Oakland Raiders, then signed a six-year, $141 million contract. $90 million of that contract is fully guaranteed to Mack. He will now team up with fellow All-Pro defensive end Joey Bosa as the Chargers look to take the AFC West from the Chiefs.
