31-year-old defensive end Jurrell Casey has been released by the Broncos. He played only one season in Denver after being traded for a seventh round pick in 2020.
The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

Casey played nine seasons in Tennessee before being traded. He was reportedly very unhappy with the way his time with the Titans ended, saying that the team “discarded” him. For five consecutive years (2015-2019) Casey represented the Titans in the Pro Bowl.
During his only season with the Broncos, he played in only three games, defended three passes and racked up 14 combined tackles. His lack of playing time can be contributed to a torn biceps, which kept him on reserve lists for most of the season.
Now that Jurrell Casey has been officially released, he is now a free agent and may sign anywhere he wishes.
