After winning the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs, JuJu Smith-Schuster is on the move to a new team. He has reportedly signed a new deal with the New England Patriots on a three-year, $33 million deal.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Smith-Schuster signed with the Chiefs in March of last season, on a one-year contract worth $10.75 million. In the Super Bowl victory, he caught seven passes for 53 yards. He was also the subject of the extremely controversial holding call at the end of the game that gave the Chiefs the victory.
In total in 2022, Smith-Schuster played in 16 games and started 14 of them. He was targeted 101 times and caught 78 passes for 933 yards and three scores. His career-high in touchdowns came in 2020, when he caught nine.
