Although the 2019-2020 season is still underway, some players are already looking to the future. Larry Krueger of KNBR radio has reported that Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa wants to join his brother, Nick Bosa, on the 49ers in 2021.
My inside sources tell me Joey Bosa wants to join Nick on the #49ers when he’s an UFA in 2021! Very good source btw https://t.co/C5uTeJ5jUe

Joey Bosa was selected by the Chargers with the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. As a result, the defensive end was signed to a four-year, $25.9 million contract. With contract intact, Joey Bosa will remain a Charger until the 2021 season. He will then need to make a decision to stay with the team that drafted him, or test free agency. According to Krueger, it seems like Joey has his eyes set on playing with his brother in San Francisco.
Joey’s brother, Nick Bosa, was selected with the second overall pick by the 49ers in last year’s NFL Draft. Nick has already put up a strong case for defensive rookie of the year as has already became as dominant force on the San Francisco defensive line.
Nick and the 49ers are currently on route to the an NFC championship appearance. This, in turn, may have peaked Joey’s interest. Not only would he be playing with his brother,he would also be playing on a Super Bowl contending team.
This news’ validity is solely reliant on the source of Larry Krueger, so who knows what Joey’s true intentions are come 2021. But, it would be a sight to see if the Bosa brother’s were on the same team terrorizing quarterbacks.
