Two key offensive players for the Bengals are officially off of the injury report and ready to go in Week 14 against the Browns. Running back Joe Mixon is out of the concussion protocol and wide receiver Tee Higgins’ hamstring won’t keep him off the field this week.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news on Friday via Twitter.
In Mixon’s absence, backup running back Samaje Perine has been excellent. Last week against Kansas City, Perine had 106 rushing yards and 49 receiving yards in the win. He’s scored four total touchdowns since being thrust into the starting role.
Higgins has 60 catches on the season for 861 yards and five touchdowns. He’s played in 12 games this year, starting 11 of them. Higgins is only 230 yards away from his total last year, in which he played 14 of 17 games.
