The Washington Commanders have completed a trade that will send wide receiver Jahan Dotson and a fifth-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a third-round pick and two seventh-round picks. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news.
Dotson, 24, is a former first-round pick by the Commanders. In his career, he has 84 receptions for 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns over two seasons. Last year, he hauled in 49 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns.
In Philadelphia, Dotson joins a talented receiving room that includes DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. They’ll hope that the addition of Dotson will help them from fading down the stretch like last season.
Washington will move forward with a receiving room featuring Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown and Jamison Crowder as new quarterback Jayden Daniels enters his first season.
