Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith has reached a deal with the team to return. He will get a three-year deal worth $105 million according to NFL Network.
Smith stepped into the starting lineup for the Seahawks after the team traded Russell Wilson to Denver. He delivered with 4,282 passing yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on 69.8 percent completion. Smith led the Seahawks to the playoffs.
The deal was agreed to prior to NFL free agency, which Smith was eligible to partake in.
For his career, the former Jet, Giant and Charger has passed for 11,199 yards, 64 touchdowns and 48 interceptions on 62.8 percent completion.
The Seahawks will hope the deal will help them improve on their 9-8 record from 2022.
