The Philadelphia Eagles have signed defensive end Ryan Kerrigan on a one year deal. Kerrigan is a 10-year veteran who has spent his entire career with the Eagles’ divisional rival, Washington. Now, he joins a second NFC East team for the next, maybe final, chapter of his career.
The Eagles’ official Twitter account announced the signing on Monday morning.

Kerrigan is the Washington Football Team’s all-time sack leader, with 95.5 sacks in ten seasons. He is also a four time Pro Bowler, earning selections in 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2018. His career stats also include 26 forced fumbles, three interceptions and four defensive touchdowns.
Perhaps most impressively, Kerrigan has played in every single game for Washington since making his debut in 2011. Last season, he had 17 combined tackles and 5.5 sacks along with a pass defense. He is a veteran playmaker that can help coach up the Eagles’ line and maybe take some revenge on his old team in the process.
