The Philadelphia Eagles have signed tight end Dallas Goedert to an contract extension. His new contract is for $59 million over four years. Of the $59 million, $35.7 million is guaranteed. Goedert is now the TE1 on the roster after Zach Ertz was traded midseason.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Friday.

Goedert has played in nine games in 2021, starting in eight of them. In those games, he has racked up 429 yards and two touchdowns. He is on pace to break his previous yardage record of 607, accrued in 2019 in 15 games.
A second round selection out of South Dakota State in 2018, Goedert already had a familiarity with then-signal caller Carson Wentz, due to their college connection. He was drafted in the offseason after the Eagles won the Super Bowl, so he does not have a championship to his name as of yet.
