The Dallas Cowboys are re-signing Randy Gregory and Malik Hooker. Defensive end Gregory is signing a five-year, $70 million deal with $28 million fully guaranteed. Hooker, the safety, is signing a two-year, $8 million contract.
ESPN’s Field Yates used his Twitter account to help report the news on Tuesday.
Prior to the 2015 NFL Draft, Randy Gregory failed a drug test. He slid to pick 60.
He was suspended for 4 games, then 10 more, then 16 more for violating the substance abuse policy.
He got on track, honed his ability, became a really good player.

Hooker was the 15th overall pick of the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He spent four seasons there, before signing a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys. He has earned a two-year extension thanks to his play during his prove-it year in Dallas.
In 2021, Gregory played in 12 games with Dallas, racking up 19 combined tackles and six sacks. He also grabbed one interceptions and forced three fumbles. The Cowboys have been the only team that Gregory has ever played for. He will now stay in Dallas for five more seasons.
