The Carolina Panthers have hired Frank Reich as head coach according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.
Reich was fired by the Indianapolis Colts during the 2022 season. He posted a 40-33-1 record with the team during five seasons with the team.
Before his time as a head coach, Reich was an offensive coordinator for Philadelphia and San Diego. He also has time spent as an assistant with the Cardinals and Colts. When he was a quarterback in the league, he played for the Bills, Panthers, Jets and Lions. He threw the first touchdown pass in Panthers’ franchise history.
In Carolina, Reich will take over a team that went 7-10. The Panthers have the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
