The Broncos are signing running back Latavius Murray off of the New Orleans Saints practice squad. This move comes after the Broncos lost running back Javonte Williams to an ACL tear for the remainder of the 2022 season.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Murray was a sixth round selection out of the University of Central Florida in the 2013 NFL Draft by the (then) Oakland Raiders. He spent four years with the Raiders before playing with the Vikings, Saints (in two different stints) and the Ravens.
In 122 games played (69 starts), Murray has 5,429 yards and 49 touchdowns on 1,310 carries. He had a Pro Bowl year in 2015 with the Raiders, when he had his most rushing yards in a single season with 1,066 and six touchdowns.
