Former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is eyeing a return to the NFL. The 38-year-old Jacobs has not played an NFL game since 2013. He has announced he wants to return to the league as a defensive end for whatever team would take him.
Jacobs announced his potential return on his Twitter account on Thursday.
Well since Tebow came back after being off a good bit, I am announcing today that I to will comeback. I will play defensive end for whatever team gives me a chance!!!

Jacobs is a two-time Super Bowl champion, both with the Giants. He helped the Giants win Super Bowl XLII and XLVI, both over the New England Patriots. Over his nine seasons he collected 5,094 rushing yards and 60 rushing touchdowns.
He has no NFL experience at the defensive end position, yet wants to return to the field on defense after not playing for eight years. He cited Tim Tebow’s return to the NFL after a decade of inaction. Jacobs’ second tweet on the subject stated, “…there’s no way he is a better athlete than I am.”
However serious the 38-year-old is about his return is up in the air, but his second tweet stated as much. Stay tuned to TGH to see more NFL breaking news, including news about a potential Brandon Jacobs signing.
