The Baltimore Ravens have placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson will be able to go negotiate with other teams and Baltimore will have a chance to match the offer. If they don’t match, they will get two first-round picks.
The negotiations have been ongoing between Jackson and the Ravens this offseason, but a deal was not reached before the franchise tag deadline. There is a separation between the two sides about the guaranteed money in the deal.
Jackson, 26, was the MVP of the league in 2019 and has made the Pro Bowl two times. He has passed for 12,209 yards, 101 touchdowns and 38 interceptions on 63.7 percent completion in his career. Jackson has also rushed for 4,437 yards and 24 touchdowns in his five seasons with the Ravens.
