Washington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 List. This designation will, in all likelihood, make him unavailable for Week 17’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.

If he is vaccinated, Gibson will have to present two negative COVID-19 tests in a 24 hour period and be asymptomatic to return to the field. If he is unvaccinated, Gibson will have to undergo a mandatory 10-day isolation period in addition to the previous two requirements.
Gibson has racked up 891 yards on 237 rushes during the 2021 season. He has six rushing touchdowns to go with three receiving touchdowns on the year. The Football Team currently sits in the 11th position in the NFC, meaning with two straight wins and some help from other teams, Washington has an outside chance to make the playoffs. That will be tougher without their best running back.
