1. Luther Burden, WR, Missouri Tigers
Missouri lost 34-0 to Alabama. The quarterback injury clearly affected Missouri’s offensive potential. It was a bad showing for almost everyone on the offense. Luther Burden didn’t have a great game. He had two rushes for 15 yards and three catches for three yards.
Burden has had a tough season this year. He still has plenty of talent and should be considered a first-round pick, but there will be some questions about his up-and-down season this year. His athleticism and route-running is still unique and he still has time to improve his stock down the stretch.
2. Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama’s defense has not had a lot of great performances this season. They played well against Missouri, pitching a shutout against the Tigers. Linebacker Jihaad Campbell had a great game, finishing with eight total tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss.
Campbell has really raised his stock this season. He is big and moves well. Campbell showed how well he can pursue ball carriers in this game and he is also an effective blitzer. His coverage can use some work, but it appears that he may be improving in that regard as well.
3. Will Campbell, OT, LSU Tigers
LSU suffered a tough loss against Texas A&M on the road. It is their second loss of the season, which was a little surprising after how well they had played. Their offensive line had a very tough game. Will Campbell has struggled with drawing penalties and that showed up in this game.
While it wasn’t his best showing, Campbell is still a good tackle prospect capable of being the first one selected. He needs to clean up the penalties, but he is a proven pass blocker. Improving in the run game can also help his stock. There is still a lot of football to be played for Campbell to stake his claim at being the best offensive line prospect in this class.
4. Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M put themselves as a CFP contender with a big win over LSU. Their defense struggled early, but really stepped it up in the end to help their team get the win. Edge rusher Nic Scourton had a good game, finishing with four total tackles, 0.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Scourton helped solidify his stock in this game. He notched a sack after going up against talented offensive tackle Emery Jones. Scourton isn’t the most athletic edge rusher, but he is big and has strength. He showed good hand work in this one and that he can help against the run. Scourton should be a first-round pick in April.
5. Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado kept their Big 12 Championship hopes alive with a win over Cincinnati late Saturday. They controlled the game and won by 11. Travis Hunter was once again the best player on the field. On offense, he had nine catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, he had two tackles and four passes defended.
Hunter is continuing to make his case as the best player in the 2025 draft class for his play on both sides of the ball. He has excellent ball skills and athleticism, which helps him be successful on offense and defense. NFL teams will want him to add weight to his frame for the next level, no matter what position he plays, but he could end up being the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
