The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2025 Bahamas Bowl.
Buffalo Bulls Draft Prospects
Shaun Dolac, LB
Dolac joined Buffalo in 2020 and played sparingly. He played more in 2021 and started the last two games of the season. Dolac jumped into the starting lineup in 2022 and stayed there the rest of the season. In 2024, he has 159 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
He is undersized for an NFL linebacker at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds. His lack of size limit his draft value, but he has proven to have a nose for the ball. He will likely have to play special teams and do well to make an NFL roster.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Marquis Cooper, CB
Cooper started his college career at Colgate where he played wide receiver and cornerback. He transferred to Buffalo for the 2023 season and didn’t play much. Cooper played more in 2024 and impressed. He finished the regular season with 55 total tackles, eight passes defended and two interceptions.
At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Cooper is small for a corner at the NFL level. His ball production is worth noting, as his skills as a former receiver have shown through. He still has eligibility remaining and may return to school to build up his stock.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Liberty Flames Draft Prospects
Quinton Cooley, RB
Cooley started his college career at Wake Forest. After three seasons with the Demon Deacons, Cooley transferred to Liberty in 2023. Since that point, he has become a star. In 2024, Cooley has 1,254 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.
At 5-foot-7 and 220 pounds, he is short, but is well-filled out. He has good contact balance and power, but will need to show more receiving skills to be an every-down running back. Cooley may need to play special teams to make a roster.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Joseph Carter, LB
Carter joined Liberty in 2021 and redshirted. He played in one game in 2022 and then started most of the games in 2023. Carter was a full-time starter in 2024. This season, he has registered 83 total tackles, and 1.5 sacks.
He stands at 6-foot and 235 pounds, making him short, but strong for a linebacker. Carter has proven to be good against the run, but could improve against the pass. He has eligibility remaining and could return to school.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
