The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2024 Armed Forces Bowl.
Oklahoma Sooners Draft Prospects
Danny Stutsman, LB
Stutsman joined Oklahoma in 2021 and immediately started playing. He jumped into the starting lineup in 2022, being named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. He was named Third Team All-American in 2023 and a Second Team All-American in 2024. Stutsman finished the 2024 season with 109 total tackles and eight tackles for loss.
At 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, Stutsman has the prototypical size for an NFL linebacker. He can create a big impact against the run, showing good play diagnosis and tackling. Stutsman can struggle in coverage. He has the potential to be selected on day two of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick
Billy Bowman, S
Bowman joined Oklahoma in 2021 and played a role right away, starting seven games. He has been a mainstay in the Oklahoma lineup ever since. He was named First Team All-Big 12 in 2023, and Third Team All-SEC in 2024. In 2024, he registered 54 total tackles, two interceptions and three passes defended.
At 5-foot-10 and 194 pounds, Bowman is a little undersized for a safety. He has shown good athleticism and ball skills during his many games at Oklahoma. Bowman can cover a lot of ground, but may not make the biggest impact against the run. He could be picked on day two of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick
Other Draft Prospects: WR Deion Burks (4th-6th), EDGE R Mason Thomas (4th-6th), S Robert Spears-Jennings (6th-UFA), EDGE Ethan Downs (6th-UFA), DL Damonic Williams (UFA), EDGE Caiden Woullard (UFA), CB Woodi Washington (UFA), EDGE Trace Ford (UFA)
Navy Midshipmen Draft Prospects
Colin Ramos, LB
Ramos joined Navy in 2021 and played sparingly. He started most of the games in 2022 and has been a mainstay since. Ramos earned First Team All-AAC honors in 2023 and again in 2024. During the regular season, Ramos tallied 117 total tackles and eight tackles for loss.
At 5-foot-11 and 209 pounds, Ramos is undersized for an NFL linebacker. He may need to play safety at the next level. Ramos finds the football and is a good tackler. The key to him making a roster will be if he can play special teams.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Eli Heidenreich, RB
Heidenreich joined Navy in 2022, but didn’t see the field. In 2023, he earned four starts and played a decent amount. He fully entered the starting lineup in 2024. On the season, Heidenreich has 421 rushing yards, 649 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns.
At 6-foot and 201 pounds, Heidenrech has solid size for an NFL running back. He has shown proficiency both running and catching the ball, which helps hm. Heidenreich is just a junior and a return to Navy is probable, but another good season could make him a candidate to make an NFL roster.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
