The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2021 Capital One Orange Bowl.
Texas A&M Aggies Draft Prospects
Bobby Brown III, DL
Every year he has been with the Aggies, Bobby Brown III has improved consistently. He has 55 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and six sacks in his career. For the 2020 season, Brown has 20 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Brown has tremendous size at 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds, which should allow him to be a nose tackle on a 3-4 front. His size and production will get him long looks from NFL teams trying to improve the interior of their defensive lines. He is a projected mid to late round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick
Kellen Mond, QB
Mond is one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the draft class. Over four years at Texas A&M, he has passed for 9,429 yards, 71 touchdowns and 23 interceptions on 58.9 percent completion. He also has 1,573 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. This season, Mond has 2,050 passing yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions on 63.5 percent completion. He has rushed for 258 yards and three touchdowns as well.
He has solid size at 6-foot-3 and 217 pounds. His ability to beat teams with his arms and his legs helps give him value. Mond has improved his accuracy this year, which also helps. He is a projected late round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Fifth Round Pick-Seventh Round Pick
