The 2020 NFL Combine is here and prospects are getting a chance to show their talents. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and players don’t put their best foot forward. Here are the 2020 NFL Combine Losers.

Day 1 (QBs, TEs, WRs)

Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia

The week has not gone overly well for Jake Fromm. First, his hand size came back under 9-inches, which is commonly seen as the threshold for NFL starting quarterbacks. Then during his on-field work, Fromm made several throws that paled in comparison to other players who worked out. Fromm’s stock has fallen from the start of the season, but he should still be a day two pick.

Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado

Shenault ran a 4.58 40-yard dash, which was a little slower than expected. It looked like he came up limping, which may have altered his time. After the first heat of the 40-yard dash, Shenault’s day was over, even though no injury was announced. He was one of the best all-purpose players in college football last season, but wasn’t able to show that at the NFL Combine.

Wilcox had a viral moment at the combine, but not in a good way. He turned his head the wrong way during the gauntlet drill and got decked in the face. His testing didn’t go great either, which has resulted in a drop in his draft stock.

Day 2 (OL and RBs)

Lloyd Cushenberry, OG/C, LSU

Cushenberry falls under the injury category as he did not participate after the 40-yard dash. He is one of the best interior linemen in the draft and could’ve improved his stock with a good showing in on-field drills.

Darius Anderson, RB, TCU

Anderson was known for his speed and while that may still show up on tape, it didn’t show up at the combine. The TCU Horned Frog ran a 4.61 40-yard dash. That is ok for some players, but Anderson was given the nickname “Jet” because of his speed. His stock will likely by down now.

Day 3 (DLs and LBs)

Patrick Queen, LB, LSU

Queen had a chance to prove he was a first-round pick, but pulled up with an injury in the 40-yard dash. He likely will still be drafted in the first round, but now he will have to be evaluated with an injury moving forward.

Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

Murray, like Queen, injured himself while running the 40-yard dash. The two linebackers were in competition to be the second linebacker selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. Both players didn’t get that chance.

Day 4 (DBs)

Jalen Elliot, S, Notre Dame

Elliot was ok in on-field drills, but ran a 4.80 40-yard dash. With Tristan Wirfs, an Iowa offensive tackle, can run a 4.86 40-yard dash time, that is not good for Elliot. He still could be drafted, but it will likely be very late in the draft.
